A Passion for Authentic Pizza

It all started when founder Marco DeVito returned from a transformative trip through Naples, Italy in 2009. Captivated by the simplicity and depth of Neapolitan pizza — hand-stretched dough, San Marzano tomatoes, fresh mozzarella di bufala, and a blazing 900°F wood-fired oven — he knew he had to bring this experience to Minnesota.

In 2010, Marco opened the first Punch Pizza in Eden Prairie with a simple philosophy: use the finest ingredients, respect the craft, and never cut corners. That commitment earned us a loyal following and the recognition as one of Minnesota's premier pizza destinations.

Today, our team of passionate pizzaiolos carry on Marco's tradition — hand-crafting every pizza to order, sourcing local produce wherever possible, and ensuring that every visit to Punch Pizza feels like a slice of Italy right here in Minnesota.

2010

The First Fire Is Lit

Marco DeVito opens the first Punch Pizza in Eden Prairie, MN, after hand-building a custom wood-fired oven imported from Naples. The opening night sells out within two hours.

2012

First "Best Pizza" Award

Minnesota Monthly names Punch Pizza "Best Artisan Pizza" in the Twin Cities. The recognition brings a surge of new guests and cements our reputation as the region's premier pizzeria.

2014

Expanded Kitchen & Menu

We triple the size of our kitchen and introduce our acclaimed antipasti menu, seasonal specials program, and a curated selection of Italian wines and craft beers to complement our pizzas.

2016

Catering & Events Launch

By popular demand, Punch Pizza launches a full-service catering division and mobile pizza events program, bringing our wood-fired experience to weddings, corporate events, and private parties across Minnesota.

2018

Local Farm Partnerships

We formalize partnerships with five local Minnesota farms, sourcing fresh vegetables, honey, and herbs directly to our kitchen. A major step toward our goal of 60% locally-sourced ingredients.

2021

Online Ordering & Delivery

We launch our own online ordering system, ensuring our pizzas reach more guests than ever. Our signature insulated delivery bags keep each pizza at the perfect temperature door-to-door.

15th Anniversary & Beyond

Celebrating 15 incredible years, we renovate our dining room, launch a new chef's tasting menu, and introduce our community pizza school — teaching the art of Neapolitan pizza making to the next generation of food lovers.

Trained in Naples under master pizzaiolo Enzo Coccia, Marco brought his lifelong passion for authentic Neapolitan pizza to Eden Prairie in 2010. He still personally shapes every dough batch that starts the morning prep.

Sofia Reyes

Executive Chef

A Culinary Institute of America graduate, Sofia leads recipe development and seasonal menu curation. Her creativity infuses our Italian classics with fresh Minnesota-inspired ingredients and bold seasonal flavors.

With 12 years in hospitality management, James ensures every guest experience at Punch Pizza exceeds expectations. His meticulous attention to service standards and team culture defines our welcoming atmosphere.
